This Saturday, May 2, 2015, yoga instructor Lindsay Armstrong will lead one of her bi-monthly Yoga Nidra workshops from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Yoga Mountain Center in Montpelier, Vermont. Yoga Nidra, also called “yogic sleep,” is a form of guided meditation and relaxation often performed in a supported savasana (relaxation pose) with bolsters and/or other props. Based on the workshop description, Lindsay’s class will provide an overview of this practice followed by some flowing movement and a guided Yoga Nidra experience, involving affirmations, meditation, and breathing.
This deeply relaxing practice is for everyone! No prior yoga experience is required. If you have been to my classes, you may know that I often lead a guided relaxation prior to final savasana, in which we use our minds to consciously calm our bodies and quiet our brains. Now imagine this wonderful feeling for 60+ minutes on a late Saturday afternoon . . . Ready to sign up?
