Indy Ewald of indyYoga in Duxbury,VT, and Kerry Jenni L.Ac of Integrative Acupuncture in Montpelier,VT, are offering a unique weekend retreat blending the healing principles of Chinese medicine, yoga and meditation. We will stay at a special eco-friendly retreat center, Good Commons (near Killington) during the beauty of fall foliage. Daily yoga, meditation, holistic health lectures, group acupuncture treatments and delicious meals are all included. Our chef and sommelier will also treat us to a wine tasting on Saturday night.
Acu-Yoga
In this weekend retreat we will learn about the meridians and the 5 elements of Chinese medicine, discover our own unique elemental constitutions, and learn how to utilize yoga postures and acupressure to stimulate the flow of chi to enhance our own health and healing.
Schedule
We arrive Friday afternoon and enjoy a yoga practice together to unwind and rejuvenate. Then we will replenish body and soul with a delicious meal and the company of our fellow retreaters. Kerry will offer a group acupuncture treatment after dinner and Indy will lead a guided meditation before bed. Saturday morning we start the day with a good yoga stretch and meditation followed by breakfast. After breakfast we will learn about how our chi flows in the Anatomy of Meridians and then apply this in an Acu-Yoga session. After lunch you can enjoy free time—reading, hiking, napping, or a private yoga or acupuncture session with Indy or Kerry. If there is interest, Indy will lead a walking meditation. Saturday late afternoon we gather to discover our elemental constitutions and explore how yoga postures can support our unique path to optimum well being. Dinner and wine tasting will round out our evening together. Sunday we will wake up with another good yoga stretch and meditation followed by breakfast. Then we will bring our learning all together in a 5 Element Yoga class before we depart by noon—relaxed, refreshed and inspired.

Kerry Jenni is an acupuncturist in Montpelier. She’s been in practice for 13 years and enjoys supporting people through a wide range of conditions. Kerry is also a passionate student of yoga and has always been fascinated by the overlap of these traditions.
Indy Ewald has been a student of yoga for over 30 years, an instructor for over 18 years and similarly appreciates the healing opportunities both Chinese medicine and yoga provide. Blending them together makes them even more dynamic, especially to the informed practitioner. Together, Kerry and Indy have created a unique Acu-Yoga experience offered in a user-friendly, fun-loving and therapeutic way.
