Free Kids Yoga

In October, I will be holding three FREE kids yoga classes at IndyYoga in Duxbury. Preregistration is required and class size is limited. Please visit indyyoga.net to register.

October 10
2-4 Year Olds (w/ caregivers): 
This class combines simple yoga poses for little bodies with songs, stories, and games to create a fun, enriching caregiver-child activity. Children learn yoga through play as they develop social skills, motor skills, and learn ways to safely release frustration.
*No mats are used during this class. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing.
October 17
4-6 Year Olds:
This class introduces children to yoga through songs, stories, and games to create a play-based activity that is healthy for both the body and mind. Children develop social interaction skills and motor skills; learn effective ways to safely release frustration; and work on increasing attention span.
*No mats are used during this class. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing.
October 24
7-10 Year Olds:
This class introduces children to all aspects of yoga through music, stories, and games to create an enriching activity that is invigorating for the body yet also relaxing. Children learn about the importance of their breath and the importance of their thoughts and positive affirmations; follow along with the instructor through basic sun salutations; practice fun partner/group poses and games that build trust and cooperation; and journey through a guided, relaxing visualization.
*Mats are used during this class and are available at the studio. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing.
