Beginner’s Workshop

Truly, one of my happiest (and scariest) moments in the studio is when someone walks in and says, “This will be my first yoga class ever!” Beginners are welcome to all of our classes at the studio except the Tuesday and Thursday evening intermediate classes. Yet I know it still takes a lot of courage to show up for your first class ever, probably imagining that you’ll be the only one who is not a regular.

Mindy’s got you covered.

Join us for this weekend intensive workshop. You’ll leave knowledgeable about body basics of yoga and ready to drop in to any of our group classes.

Please email Mindy directly to register. (See contact info below.)

Community Yoga

Fridays 5:30 p.m. & Sundays 4:00 p.m.

We love Community Yoga. For us teachers, it is opportunity to play with our class offerings on a different day/time and meet new people. We call it a “potpourri” because every week, the class style and teacher changes.

My hope is that the sliding scale price will encourage people to try the studio for the first time or help others extend their practice to a few more days a week without breaking the bank. However, class is not free. We encourage you to pay what you can and bring friends and family so that we can honor the time, effort and skills of the teacher who also made this time commitment.

In response to several requests, I will post the Spring Community Yoga schedule on the website later today so that you will be able to see who is teaching.

Thank you for your feedback and support. We hear you!

Reclaiming the Divine Feminine

sunday, april 9, 2017

11:00 a.m. ~ 1:00 p.m.

“Can you feel it in the air?  She is rising.  More and more women are connecting more deeply with their feminine essence.  The world needs it right now.  We are simply, intuitively, answering the call.

Please join me for a conversation to explore what exactly the divine feminine is?  Why should we be so interested in unearthing her and the energy she brings to our lives?  We will spend two hours diving deep.  Conversation. Guided visualization. Journaling. Sharing.” ~A.A.

Please visit Angie’s website to register: http://www.angieandrewsinspire.com/new-events/2017/4/9/reclaiming-the-divine-feminine

A Space for Friends and Community

image

One of my intentions for this studio was to create a community space where like-minded people can do yoga, attend inspiring workshops, sip tea, and occasionally gather for potlucks or lectures or music events. This will no doubt take time to come to fruition, but I believe we will get there.

One way to make this yoga space both personal and social is by inviting a friend to class! ALL February long we have the 2 for $20 drop-in special. Make a date night with your partner, introduce a friend to your favorite class, go for morning coffee and yoga with your BFF, or bring a co-worker with you after work…find some way to make yoga both personal and social this month. (If you have tweens or teens and want to practice together, Community Yoga would be a great place to try yoga as a family.)

And don’t forget to check out our events page. We have awesome events this month that focus on deepening connections to your self, your romantic partner, and your kids, including BUTI Yoga, Couples Massage, Family Yoga (kids age 1 through 6), and more.

FYI: This week GENTLE YOGA is back on at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday (perfect if you’ve been out on the mountain all weekend!) and Misa will be subbing for Mindy on Tuesday morning 8:30 a.m.

The email list is almost ready to go! You can also follow this blog to receive an email every time we post here by clicking on the FOLLOW button to the right of the screen (above the social media links).

Events

Take a peek at the brand-new Events page. The studio space is being rented on some Saturday and Sunday afternoons for special events that may or may not be yoga classes but will definitely help you cultivate your practice off the mat (lectures, workshops, etc.)

Family Yoga Saturday, January 21 @ 11 a.m.

Fun, playful time to discover the joys of sharing yoga with your little one. Ages 1 through 6 are welcome with caregiver. $14 for 1 child + caregiver. $3 per additional child. Sign up for all 3 classes (1/21, 2/18, 3/18) for $36 and $1 per additional child. Songs, games, partner poses and obstacle courses are all on deck. Wear comfortable clothing and be ready to MOVE! Pre-registration is required and space is limited. Please email valleyglowyoga(at)gmail(dot)com to register or sign up in the studio.

Candlelit Restorative Yoga w/ Meredith

February 2 @ 7 p.m. Meredith’s regular class will end at 6:30 p.m. that evening to allow time to set up for this luxuriously relaxing candlelit restorative class. Meredith has trained with the Judith Hanson Lasater, yoga queen of restorative yoga, and candles always make everything more magical.

There are only 12 spots for this class. Please reserve your spot early. There is a sign-up sheet at the studio or you can email valleyglowyoga(at)gmail(dot)com to register. $14 for everyone. Unfortunately, class cards cannot be used for these special classes.
