Beginner’s Workshop

Truly, one of my happiest (and scariest) moments in the studio is when someone walks in and says, “This will be my first yoga class ever!” Beginners are welcome to all of our classes at the studio except the Tuesday and Thursday evening intermediate classes. Yet I know it still takes a lot of courage to show up for your first class ever, probably imagining that you’ll be the only one who is not a regular.

Mindy’s got you covered.

Join us for this weekend intensive workshop. You’ll leave knowledgeable about body basics of yoga and ready to drop in to any of our group classes.

Please email Mindy directly to register. (See contact info below.)

Intermediate Sivananda Series

Tuesday Nights 7 p.m.

I love all types of yoga. I love trying new teachers, different styles, attending workshops on things completely new to me… And still, I come back again and again to traditional hatha yoga practiced in the style created by Swami Vishnudevananda from the Sivananda lineage. This is what feels like home to me.

I’m honored and inspired to share this practice with you on Tuesday nights beginning April 25th 7:00-8:15 p.m. This four-week series is open to class-card holders and drop ins. I ask that you please have at least 3 years of regular yoga experience to attend.

Each Tuesday night we will move through the sequence with a different focus and emphasis.

Week 1: Discover the series of 12 postures, breath work, chanting, and guided savasana.

Week 2: Explore the reasoning behind the sequencing and how this relates to our energetic body (chakras).

Week 3: Inversions, their benefits, and how to develop a safe, steady inversion practice.

Week 4: Variations. Explore how and when to introduce variations to your practice.

Prenatal and Postpartum Yoga Therapy

Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy for prenatal and postpartum mothers

As a Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist in training, I believe that well-being includes the mind, body, emotions and spirit and that healing must address and provide space for all of these elements.

As you journey through motherhood and the life transformations that accompany this honor, yoga therapy can be a powerful way to reconnect with your body, bring balance to emotional, spiritual and physical changes, and hear and honor your own true voice.

A one-on-one 60-min session includes guided breathing/meditation, practitioner-assisted yoga postures, light bodywork, therapeutic touch and client-centered, open-ended dialog.

The prenatal/postpartum therapy package consists of 3 one-hour sessions for $99, including one in-home session 6-12 weeks after childbirth.

Community Yoga

Fridays 5:30 p.m. & Sundays 4:00 p.m.

We love Community Yoga. For us teachers, it is opportunity to play with our class offerings on a different day/time and meet new people. We call it a “potpourri” because every week, the class style and teacher changes.

My hope is that the sliding scale price will encourage people to try the studio for the first time or help others extend their practice to a few more days a week without breaking the bank. However, class is not free. We encourage you to pay what you can and bring friends and family so that we can honor the time, effort and skills of the teacher who also made this time commitment.

In response to several requests, I will post the Spring Community Yoga schedule on the website later today so that you will be able to see who is teaching.

Thank you for your feedback and support. We hear you!

Reclaiming the Divine Feminine

sunday, april 9, 2017

11:00 a.m. ~ 1:00 p.m.

“Can you feel it in the air?  She is rising.  More and more women are connecting more deeply with their feminine essence.  The world needs it right now.  We are simply, intuitively, answering the call.

Please join me for a conversation to explore what exactly the divine feminine is?  Why should we be so interested in unearthing her and the energy she brings to our lives?  We will spend two hours diving deep.  Conversation. Guided visualization. Journaling. Sharing.” ~A.A.

Please visit Angie’s website to register: http://www.angieandrewsinspire.com/new-events/2017/4/9/reclaiming-the-divine-feminine
